Frostworks was born from a need for specialised cleaning in the North-East—a gap one motorsport enthusiast decided to fill. With a history of rebuilding cars and motorcycles, the founder had faced numerous tough-to-remove contaminants that conventional methods couldn’t fully handle. Dry ice blasting came into view as a potential game-changer after a search for effective ways to strip bitumen sealant. Driven to learn more, he travelled to Ireland for intensive hands-on training, learning the nuances of operating and maintaining the equipment. Upon returning to the UK, he completed even more advanced training, refining his expertise to offer top-tier dry ice blasting services.
Over time, it became clear that while dry ice blasting was incredibly effective, some jobs required more than just cleaning—especially when full surface removal was necessary. This realisation led to the acquisition of a Vapourmatt Puma, a leading-edge vapour blasting machine that bridges the gap between traditional sandblasting and dry ice methods. The Puma introduced a whole new level of versatility, enabling Frostworks to handle a broader spectrum of projects with precision.
